MAGAZINE | WEBSITE | PHOTOGRAPHY
Urban Historic is a magazine I created for a writing and design class in Spring 2016 at the University of Baltimore. During this semester long assignment, we were tasked to completely immerse ourselves in a city of our choosing. The magazine features stories written about Historic Ellicott City, Maryland. Each spread features photographs taken across the city, highlighting the charming and unique aspects of living in Ellicott City.
Articles included in Urban Historic Magazine include an overview of the city, an opinion piece, curated ads, commentary on the city's culture and a profile of a local icon, a part of Ellicott City's Main Street Community. I also built a corresponding website for the magazine using Divi Theme in WordPress.
It is with great appreciation that I had the opportunity to capture the heart and soul of Historic Ellicott City prior to the devastating floods of July 2016 and May 2018, that ravished a pillar community.
